Trained by Shane & Cassie Oxlade the gelding is a three-time winner this season with two of those victories coming at this venue.

The first of those two triumphs came on the Parks track he races over here when taking out a Benchmark 66 handicap over this course and distance at the end of November.

The son of National Defense impressed stepped up to 1800m for a Benchmark 78 handicap on the main track here prior to disappointing in an open event at Strathalbyn in January.

The 2050m distance appeared to be the issue on that occasion and he returned to form with a two-and-a-half-length third back down to 1400m at Murray Bridge earlier this month.

The four-year-old is usually ridden from the front and jumping from barrier four looks capable of getting out and to the lead.

The small field should suit here and he looks value to salute with the booking of Kayla Crowther taking the eye.

The three-year-old demonstrated plenty of ability as a two-year-old including when placing second in Listed company on the main course here when debuting just under thirteen months ago.

The daughter of Tassort placed in a valuable contest at Murray Bridge subsequently and she ended 2024 with a Moonee Valley second when racing over 1200m in December.

Michael Hickmott’s representative was given a break subsequently and frontrunning tactics appeared to suit when racing over 1000m at Murray Bridge earlier this month.

The selection came home over two lengths clear of her rivals when delivering an easy victory having suffered a short-priced defeat over 1000m here prior.

The youngster was forced to race wide and without cover that day with the winner Shady Thinker going on to deliver a victory in the Magic Millions SA 3 & 4yo Classic at Murray Bridge two weeks ago.

Todd Pannell’s mount should have no issues stepping up in distance here and she looks up to deliver a second front-running victory.

Dominant Handicap Tips (Race 6)

Morphettville Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 4 Streetcar Fury

The three-year-old cost connections $130,000 when led through the ring at the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale back in 2023.

The selection showed plenty of ability when delivering an easy victory in a 1050m barrier trial at Oakbank on Christmas Eve.

The son of Exceedance put daylight between himself and his rivals that day and duly did similar in his official race debut at Murray Bridge just over a week later.

The gelding came home nearly four lengths clear of his ten rivals when racing over 900m on a good 4 surface on that occasion and has been given a break since that success.

Trained by David Jolly he arrives he prepped for his return to action with a barrier trial success at Murray Bridge last week and that should have put him spot on for this contest.

While the pick lacks the experience of his rivals he remains open to improvement and jumping from two off the rail he is taken to maintain his unbeaten record.

Morphettville Roughie - Race 7 No. 2 Lake’s Folly

The veteran performer is set to make his seventy-ninth start in this contest with four of his nine previous victories coming on the Parks track here.

The most recent of those victories saw him come home nearly two lengths clear of his rivals in a 2250m Benchmark 78 handicap in June last year.

The selection has taken a couple of runs to come to hand this time around finishing down the field over shorter distances here in his first two starts this prep.

The second of those efforts saw the eight-year-old beaten over nine-lengths in finishing seventh of eight in a 1400m Benchmark 86 handicap here at the start of this month.

However, the pick took a step forward when third in an 1800m Benchmark 68 handicap at Murray Bridge a week later.

Blinkers worn successfully in the past return here and stepping up in distance he may prove capable of surprising under apprentice Taylor Johnstone.
