Warwick Farm Next Best Bet - Race 1 No. 2 Auspicious Cloud
Although this is technically the same grade, this BM72 appears a little weaker to the one that she contested third-up on November 22, where the mare got back in a leader-dominated race.
I'm happy to forgive that last performance, especially given Auspicious Cloud had been working well in two Midway outings ahead of that most recent run and she was 1800m to 2400m there.
The five-year-old defeated a useful Zegalo over this distance fourth-up last prep, while with Nash Rawiller now on and the winkers being applied, they have more options here from barrier three.
James Squire Handicap Tips (Race 2)
Warwick Farm Favourite - Race 2 No. 7 Infancy
It was a decent first campaign from this Australian Bloodstock filly, who recorded back-to-back victories in two Queensland provincial events before a pair of solid runs at stakes level.
Following an Ipswich win over a handy Bohemian Lad, which was in sharp time for two-year-old class, Infancy did start fav when beaten just over a length in the Listed Oxlade Stakes on June 10.
She then recorded a black-type placing before a spell and off two lead-up trials, which includes a second to Edmond (first-up winner) at Wyong, Infancy looks well placed fresh in a midweek BM64.
TAB Handicap Tips (Race 3)
Warwick Farm Best Bet - Race 3 No. 1 Zaragoza
When Godolphin and James Cummings wait this long with a horse, there's generally a good opinion, with the four-year-old set to debut on Wednesday following two solid lead-up trials in November.
A very well-bred galloper, being a younger sibling to Group 2 winners Osborne Bulls and Zapateo, Zaragoza has been gelded ahead of this campaign, where the 1100m looks perfect first-up.
The map looks an obvious query, as the son of Street Boss does draw out here, however, he's shown versatility in his lead-up work and at maiden level over a short trip, class can prevail here.
Ole Kirk First Yearlings Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Warwick Farm Value Bet - Race 4 No. 6 Lemaire
Although there were some fair performances over autumn and winter, Lemaire didn't quite come up in that last campaign, but both runs this prep indicate that win number five is coming.
The six-year-old has no winning first or second-up form, which adds further merit to those November outings and it's worth noting that he was specked at a price fresh when sticking on for fourth.
Lemaire backed that return up with a slashing third at Canterbury on November 24 and along with a drop in grade suiting third-up, he now steps up to 1400m (three of his four wins have come at this trip).
